Rollers and coasters...

Not that we're doing much coasting, but...

This week has been a LOT of week. Beginning with Lewis' bris on Monday, which was hard, but exceedingly important and wonderful... and continuing with all manner of out-o-town guests (also hard, but also wonderful/important).

But then there was Wednesday. Terrible Wednesday.

On Wednesday, our loving and sweet and perfect dog Dave...

Bit Mose! Tore a huge 4 inch gash in the back of his head.

I'll spare you most of the details. Enough to say this:

Ambulance. ER. Anaesthesia. Rabies Quarantine.

Now, Mose has some staples in his head, and Dave is not living with us anymore. Ever again.

We are all okay. Everything is okay. But between giving birth, arranging a bris, spending a night in the ER, entertaining out-of-towners, and getting rid of my beloved pet...

I'm tired.

Though a sweet little nursling in the bed makes up for a lot. Lovely Lewis!

Not to mention a brave and strong toddler. Marvelous Mose!

The good is still better than the bad. Much better. Things are worth the trouble.

They almost always are , thank God.

(Pics of Lewis to come, I promise!)

Oh my gosh! That's incredibly scary, and I'm really glad Mose is okay. Is he really scared of dogs now? Oy--sending hugs.

HI Laurel - Kate told me about the dog. How awful. Congratulations to all of you on Lewis's arrival.

I bit my sister's toe when they brought her home from the hospital - broke the skin - but I like her OK now.
