Big (buried) news...

In Baltimore for the week, and we're having a nice visit. Hanukkah with Dad, and Christmas with mom. Then a night ( a whole NIGHT) away on the Eastern Shore with my husband... JUST my husband. Very nice. We missed Mose, but survived it.

Tomorrow, a trip to the Museum of Industry, and a stop at Lexington Market.

Overall, too much food. A lot of sleep. Things are good.

Oh, and by the way... I'm knocked up again!

Congratulations Laurel! I'll delurk and note that I started visiting your blog after hearing of Half Life, which is of particular interest to me because my son (age 2) is half Jewish. More commonalities: my wife is also pregnant with our second; I just released my first book; and I lived in Baltimore (Canton) for a number of years and miss it terribly. Anyway, congrats to your family and good luck with the pregnancy.

Double mazls, Laurel. Baby-to-be, book-to-be. This is perfect, too, because we bought a present for Mose but then forgot to mail it. Now we can regift it!

Can't wait to see what the Snyder-Poma genetics come up with next. Clearly, they are a winning combo!

Mazel tov, love, and may your 2007 rock every bit as hard as your 2006, times two.

Huzzah! I have a big box of maternity clothes to pass back to you and I added a few to it. Who knows, by the time you're done with them and get them boxed up, maybe I'll need them again! (but I really hope not!)

Congrats, Laurel.

You should name your next child "Irish McJew."

Also, is the success of Half/Life at all connected to that fact that it bears the same name as the most successful video game of the late 1990's? I'm just asking.
