It's been awhile...

A long while... since I made a personal post, told you anything unrelated to Half/Life. What can I say?

Between my daily life with Mose, which mostly just involves me making silly faces and yelling, "Mose! Mose! Mose-eeeey!" and then changing a diaper (his) or unfastening a bra (mine)...

And my constant scrambling efforts to figure out new ways to get people to link to the book...

There isn't much of a life. And there won't be for about two months. In my day-planner, on the first of July, it says... "Begin semblance of normal life again."

But when there ARE moments... I'm writing. Trying to write.

I'm writing words down, making giant lists, compiling memories, in three-word-phrases. I'm not certain why I'm doing this, but I have a sneaking suspicion, a suspicion that grows stronger every few days... each time it happens. I wake up in the night, to scribble things like:

Dad for sheriff/ lightning strikes church/ Sherwood garden lemonade/ mom and blackberries/ Salem witch museum/ hail queen Henry/ Harpers Ferry car/ red wine meat/ seizure salad bowl???

Hmm....

And in other news, I'm very sad that I'm not going to FL for Passover as planned, to see Gma and Poppy. Backs have been thrown out and tickets have been refunded. So new plans are in the making.

And in still other news... I'm trying to fit the trappings of a life in around the edges of the book and the baby...we bought a Honda Element (if you'll accept a loose definition of the word "bought") which ate up a few days... and I cleaned the kitchen and I found a coffee table book about Jewish Pioneers at the used bookstore and I got a haircut and a sunburn and I collected things from around the house to donate to a yardsale for a sick foster-cat and I wrote some awful freelance for slim dollars and Mose and I went to the park where Mose slept under a blanket (see above)and we drank a few beers and grilled chicken apple sausages and called it spring...

And there you have it... what passes for personal these days. Not bad at all, now that I think about it. Life is sweet.

Sweet but... some seasons just move too fast, at the speed of click click click, without pause for thought... or appreciation. Which is why we try... to keep track.

And, oh! Also I love you. Don't ever doubt it.
