About your first poem.
Here's mine! I wrote it in the fourth grade, on the inside of a book jacket. It's a sort of "call and response" and I should say I was a ridiculous child.
Have you seen the faeries?
Have you seen the fairies there?
Robes of silken colors soft.
Jewels and metals sparklin bright.
Tinted silver wings aloft.
Yes I've seen the faeries,
but only in my dreams.
Save once, I thought I saw them.
But, Ah! What can it mean?
I've now grown old and weary,
but memories shall live on.
Meaning sometimes more to me,
then the rising sun.
In other news, I was rejected by Little Emerson, but one of my poems is holding the record for the most acceptances (tied with one other submission). Four of the editors liked me. Way cool!
