A few years back, my friend SARAH and I built a little website called the TOPIC PROJECT. It was a daily exercise, poets and writers scribbling to assigned topics, and it was WONDERFUL!!!

It is not clear whether or not Foetry will continue, and my instinct is that it will not.
So is this going away? No.
If Foetry does not continue in some manner, then the Underground Literary Alliance will pick up the slack.
If you remember, we publicly embarrassed Rick Moody, the worst writer of his generation, as well as Jonathan Franzen for abusing public grants.
We will do the same with Poets. I assure you we will continue the fight.

Dear Adam,
If you dig way back to the genesis of foetry, you will discover that I supported what it WANTED to do. I just didn't like what it DID. If you stand for integrity, honesty, and fair play, while understanding that poetry is a community, and not all collaboration and friendship is evil... than I salute you!
