Well, I'm sortof here. Or there. I'm in Baltimore, making garden salad for 100 people in my mother's house.

Last night was strange... my entire goyishy family trooped into temple after dinner at the Hopkins Club (a private club my grandfather belongs to because he' a doctor... a place where they serve sorbet to cleanse the palate and you get a choice of soup or tomato juice... weird...) Then we had an odd-mix Oneg, with my stepmom's family, my mom's family, my dad's family, and a few random strangers...

Seriously Jewishy Irishy.

Now today is the big Soiree. It remains to be seen whether it'll be the big Brouhaha. I've been cutting red onions, so I'm already crying...

The B and B where we're staying smells like an antique store in Elicott City. Eucalyptus and old paper, mixed with tea.

Chris is angel. He bought me the new Woody Guthrie bio, which is EXCELLENT! I had no idea that so many Okie farmers were socialists in 1916!!! Prairie politics and boomtown bigwigs. Cool shit.
